Prospective Students

Welcome to the admissions process

Greygarth Hall welcomes applications from male students studying for undergraduate or postgraduate degrees at the universities in Manchester, regardless of race, nationality or creed.

Applicants resident in Britain are normally offered an opportunity to visit the hall and to have an interview with the Warden.

It is assumed that most applicants will be seeking accommodation for the full academic year.

However, especially in vacations, a number of places may be available to short-stay residents who should apply in the normal way.

What we offer?

Life at Greygarth revolves around the main College residence on campus, where students engage in various activities and enjoy an ideal environment for study and friendship, making the most of their university experience.

All Greygarth residents have access to the facilities of the hall and their needs are taken care of.

Admission Process

Application form

Please fill out the form (click the above title). You will be asked to supply information such as personal details, academic records, education history, and additional information like interests, sports involvement, and an optional letter of recommendation from parents, guardians, or others.

Personal Interview

After we receive your application, you will be given a date for the personal interview. This stage of the process is especially important, as it allows us to get to know you, your interests, and any concerns you may have. It is also an opportunity for you to find out more about Greygarth, how the house operates, and to ask any questions you may have.

Resolution of the interview

Once the interview has taken place, the Greygarth Admissions Committee will review the application and notify you via email whether or not you've been offered a place for the upcoming academic year.
